OSI Group originally started as Otto & Sons in 1928 in Oak Park, Illinois, as a meat market. It was a family run business that struck a lucky deal in 1955 when McDonald’s chose them as meat supplier. Little did they know that both companies would become wildly successful. Through the next several decades OSI Group partnered with more food service companies to provide a wide variety of excellent products well beyond just the beef patties that helped them become successful. They grew their business and crossed international borders with facilities in 17 different countries to become one of America’s Top 100 Food Companies, a coveted title. They own 65 different facilities worldwide and offer careers and employment to thousands. They employ all kinds of workers that work in offices, factories, distribution, and so on. They are promoting the American and Global economy with jobs.
